The Hamburg Cross Innovation Hub, designxport and page magazine have organized a competition of Hamburg designers to work on concepts, methods and products to offer solutions to pandemics, climate crisis or social issues. ‘Silberstreifen” translates as “silver lining”. Christan Schüten had the honor to be part of the jury that evaluated the entries.
On January 17 2020 Professor Eric Pfromm gave his inaugural lecture at AMD Academy for fashion and design in Hamburg. He is now Professor for product design. The topic of his lecture was “Sustainability in product design and in teaching”. Please note “the Speaker”, an oratory instrument he inherited from his father.

In February 2018 Eric Pfromm started the degree program “Produktdesign (B.A.)” at the Academy for Fashion and Design (AMD Akademie Mode & Design) in Hamburg. He is acting head of this department until a permanent position is appointed. He also teaches “Gestaltung + Modell” (Design and Modeling), “Digitale Medien” (Digital Media), “Technisches Zeichnen” (Technical Drawing) and “Material”.
Since Winter Semester 2017/2018 Christian Schüten teaches Product Design at Hamburgs AMD Akademie für Mode & Design. He does so different functions in the program “Raumkonzept und Design”. Since October 2018 the teaches “Grundlagen Nachhaltiger Gestaltung” (Sustainability and Design 101) in the new program “Produktdesign”.

Eric Pfromm took up lectures on “Sustainable Design” and “Interior Design” at Hamburg Campus of the International School of Management (ISM), University of applied sciences. Teaching those bright students is a joy and scenic way to work is also a treat.
The second workshop of the grand India tour took place at at the NID Campus in Gandhinagar with post graduate students mostly from "Strategic Design". For the last of the three workshops Schüten and Pfromm travelled to Bengaluru (Bangalore). At the NID campus there the first years of post graduate students Universal Design and Retail Experience participated. The campus in Bengaluru is very nice with a rooftop cafeteria where students meet for meals and tea every day.
